A variety of food and drink are available during the festival to fill you up as you partake in the numerous festival events. Your sense of smell will perk up when you near the concession areas. You will be tempted by the aroma of hot dogs, Greek gyros, Italian sausage, shrimp baskets, bar-b-que, blooming onions, and fries to funnel cakes, kettle corn, ice cream, cotton candy, and shaved ice.
There are two areas where the N.C. 4th of July Festival food concessions are located. The largest is that near the Waterfront Stage on South Howe Street. There is also a nice selection of food vendors mixed in with the Arts and Crafts in Franklin Square Park. These vendors are only open during the hours of the Arts & Craft Show and are mostly located on the Nash Street side of Franklin Square Park.
If you looking for a way to beat the heat for an hour? We suggest one of the many area restaurants.
If you are a food vendor and would like to be considered for any openings please see the below PDF for instructions.
